Safeguarding

Safeguarding is a paramount priority at Beechcliffe school. We are fully committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment in which every child feels secure, supported, and valued.

Our safeguarding procedures adhere strictly to the latest statutory guidance outlined in ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ and local safeguarding protocols provided by Bradford Safeguarding Children Partnership.

Our Operational DSL, Michelle O’Neill has a number of years experience across lots of different settings. She is supported in her role by Will Pacey, DSL.  Our experienced safeguarding professionals are dedicated to ensuring the wellbeing and protection of all our students.

We place great importance on the ongoing professional development of our staff. Our commitment to upskilling staff is vital, and we hold weekly contextual safeguarding briefings to examine trends within the local community and explore how we can best support families. All staff understand their responsibility to report any concerns promptly and accurately. We actively promote a culture of vigilance, ensuring safeguarding is integrated into all aspects of school life.

Parents, carers, and pupils are encouraged to contact the Pastoral Team directly if they have any safeguarding concerns or require support.

Hey there, couldn’t help noticing you’re using Internet Explorer

That’s great and all, and we commend you for pushing through with it. Unfortunately we no longer offer support for IE; it hasn’t received a major update since 2015 and Microsoft are dropping support for it later in the year.

If you’re using Windows 10 and want to stick with a built in browser, please consider switching to Edge. Or, if you really want to enjoy the internet properly we strongly recommend downloading Google Chrome here.
